Greens Organise at Conference
The Green Party’s annual conference is happening this weekend (3-5 October, Bournemouth) and GO will be there in force!

GO Stall
We will have our own stall in the main conference hall, where GO merch will be on sale including t-shirts and badges (!)
Come along to the stall and say hi to our volunteers and steering group members!
GO Volunteers at Conference
We’ll have a bunch of volunteers doing various tasks – filming, leafletting, setting up our events. Most of them will be wearing GO T-shirts, make sure to say hello and ask what they’re up to!

Red Line for Palestine
When: Saturday, 12:45 – 1:30pm
Where: Assemble outside Green Party Conference to walk 5 mins to Bournemouth Beach (step free access available)
Join us as we walk to the beach for a photocall in solidarity with the people of Palestine, and a demand on the UK Government to impose sanctions on Israel.
Conference motions
Greens Organise members agreed to support/oppose the following motions at our AGM on the 29th September 2025 (see below for rationale):
Actively support
- C03 Reforming Trans Healthcare
This policy motion would transfer trans healthcare from Gender Identity Clinics into primary care. It is in line with GO’s aims on liberation but will likely face organised opposition at Conference, so we propose active support to push a public pro trans position. - E03 Abolish Landlords
This is an ardent pro-renter motion which names the problem of landlordism and deliberately draws media attention to popular Green policies like bringing in rent controls. We propose active support.
Actively oppose
- A04 Political Strategy
This strategy was drafted before the leadership election result, without reference to Reform, and is limited to electoral aims rather than the expanded political strategy that GO’s open letter called for. We propose- GO pushes to refer it back and engages on a redraft with involvement from the new leadership team and newly elected GPEx.

Background & Rationale
On 16 September, Greens Organise held an open call for members to discuss GO’s position on motions at Green Party Conference on 3-5th October. Members discussed two questions on the call, guided by the aims stated in our constitution:
- Should GO push the party membership to support / oppose / refer back this motion?
- Should GO actively campaign on it? Is the motion controversial? Does it have practical effect? Is there a strategic, pressing need for GO to push a position?
We proposed that active support / opposition should be given to motions where there is a significant divide in the Party on this topic and there is a risk that the Party may move away from our aims. GO should mobilise its members around these motions. Passive support / opposition was defined as motions that are aligned with GO goals and that we encourage GO members to support, but which are not likely to be controversial.
Note that the Steering Group has proposed that only motions with a current prospect of getting heard will be actively campaigned on. If the agenda is rearranged the Steering Group will consider more active support at Conference.
The motions that were discussed and prioritised during our open call were then put as a resolution to members at our AGM (see here for the full list of resolutions and amendments that were passed). This resolution was passed with a majority.
